Pets United is a Soulless Snoozefest

Julien Neaves – Editor

Having a wife and 2.5 kids I am always on the look out for family friendly films. So when I saw Pets United pop up on Netflix I pencilled it in for family movie night. And now I want to get my hour and 31 minutes back.

Listen to me very carefully. I shall say this, only once

Pets United is about a roguish stray dog who joins forces with a bunch of spoiled pets to battle a robot army that kicked all the humans out of their city. I found this film to be a waste of my time so I’m not going to waste your time with a long review of this 2019 German-Chinese-British film.

Animation: Mediocre
Characters: Generic and uninspired. Likely created by a computer algorithm.
Story: Mishmash of superior animated content.
Music: Forgettable.
Infant Children’s Attention: Infrequent.
Laughs: One. Two at a push.
Summary: Don’t waste your time. You can find 100 animated films better than this one.

Julien’s Score: 3 out of 10

For a much better Netflix animated film you can check out my review of Fearless by clicking here. And for more cautionary film reviews you can like and follow Redmangoreviews on Facebook here.
