Julien Neaves, Sci Fi Head Writer
Plot: A career-obsessed workaholic desperate to impress an obnoxious, super rich client invites him to his bachelor party. But things take a turn when a childhood friend and his former Laser Tag championship partner shows up. And then everything turns upside down when they end up in the middle of an assault by aliens that can take over people’s bodies.
Review: Yeah, this is going to be a real short one because I don’t have much to say about this Norwegian Sci Fi action comedy. Are you a fan of Edgar Wright’s The World’s End? Well, this is like that but not as good. Everything is just okay, from the generic characters (except for a cool kick ass pregnant cop) to the hit and miss comedy (I did laugh a few times) to the derivative plot to the uninspired alien design. The set-up of Laser Tag being used to fight real aliens is a fun one but other than one entertaining set piece they don’t do a lot with it. Blasted on Netflix is a decent watch but not worth going out of your way to watch.
Score: 6 out of 10
