Alice Oscura, Paranormal Investigations Head Writer
Plot: Amateur investigators spend two weeks at the infamous Conjuring home in order to collect evidence of sinister paranormal activity.
Review: Whenever the Conjuring house is mentioned, there are a few topics that spring to mind: demonic possession, violent haunting, the 2013 horror movie that spawned the Conjuring Universe, and finally Ed and Lorraine Warren. But if you are expecting to see any terrifying paranormal activity even similar to the level of what the Perron family experienced here…then you are going to be sorely disappointed.

The infamous farmhouse was built back in 1736. The harrowing and terrifying experiences associated with the home have served as the inspiration for the movie that sparked the beginning of the Conjuring Universe. In June 2019, Cory and Jennifer Heinzen became the new owners of the 10-room farmhouse stating that when they saw that it was for sale they felt freakishly drawn towards the property despite its dark and terrifying history. The couple who are paranormal investigators has decided to open their home up to other investigators also. In this paranormal documentary amateur investigators Kendall and Vera Whelpton with Richel Stratton and Brian Murray come to the house prepared with cameras, motion detectors, and other paranormal sensors.
The documentary starts with decent pacing and anticipation of perhaps collecting evidence or proof of any dark, sinister entities. However, their reactions were exaggerated and resulted in an extremely unproductive and impotent investigation. As a side note, they did something in the end (I won’t spoil what it was) that I thought was extremely irresponsible. What makes it even worse is the fact that they were surprised at the outcome.

The reality would seem to be that the house does still contain many displaced spirits. But there’s an even greater possibility that after the infamous Warrens were able to help the Perron family whatever was once the root of evil in the house may no longer be there. However, I did stumble across the YouTube channel of Sam and Colby who are also amateur paranormal investigators. Six days ago they posted their experiences in the infamous farmhouse and were able to produce something way more intense and terrifying. They brought along a psychic medium who I would say has similar abilities to that of Lorraine Warren. In the video they were able to successfully communicate with a possibly dark entity and captured a lot more feasible evidence from just an overnight stay as opposed to the two weeks that this group had for the documentary.
In closing, I would say that you can skip this one. Instead, you should check out Sam and Colby’s YouTube channel for their overnight investigation of the real Conjuring home titled “The Night We Talked to Demons| REAL Conjuring House”. Here you will see some particularly solid investigating using external mediums and proven methods used to provoke the appropriate responses.
