Sommerleigh Pollonais, Senior Writer
Plot: On the cusp of fatherhood, a junior mechanic aboard an interstellar ark to New Earth must outwit a malevolent cosmic terror intent on using the spaceship as a weapon.
Review: Don’t worry folks, this won’t take long.

Breach is a shlocky, cheesy, B-rated sci-fi flick that’s relies heavily on your love of better films like Alien and The Thing. It stars (kinda) Thomas Jane (The Mist/The Punisher ) and Bruce “I don’t care anymore” Willis and a bunch of other actors that will make you say “hey! I remember him/her”.
There are some fun moments here that may keep you invested until the end, but they are few and far between. And it’s not the kind of bad that will make you wanna throw your television at the neighbor’s cat. But if you’re going into this expecting quality cinema, well, you might just wanna get yourself checked for brain injuries, because, c’mon, we all knew what to expect. You just hope for something worth watching while your laundry dries.

I’m being harsh here and to be fair, Breach is trying to say something about humanity’s worthiness (should we try colonising other planets, when we’ve so royally screwed with our own?) and the acting isn’t that bad, with Bruce Willis himself actually bringing real energy and even, gasp, humour to his role. That said, if you decide to pass on this one, you won’t be missing out on anything special.
