Michael Yuka Toshi Richards – Guest Writer
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is a reworked retelling of the storyline of the first live-action Mortal Kombat movie. It borrows heavily from the visuals of that film while incorporating elements that are much more faithful to the game.

With better use of characters, and many more interesting matchups, this film manages to capture the spirit of the core storyline while simultaneously serving up lots of gratuitous and over-the-top action which the games are known for.

The story moves along at a very brisk pace, which might make it a bit less accessible for those who are only casually familiar with the storyline. And in a few cases the dialogue tends to suffer in service of keeping the action moving along.
Overall, this is a great entry in the pantheon of Mortal Kombat media and is sure to be an enjoyable watch for fans of the series.
